Larry focuses his practice on investigating and prosecuting recovery cases involving fire, water, construction defects, inland marine, maritime, and transportation cases resulting in significant property damage and losses. He is admitted to practice law in multiple state and federal courts across the Northeast. Where third-party tortfeasors are responsible and meaningful opportunities for recovery exist, Larry prosecutes claims in an effort to recover the monies paid for repairs, emergency expenses, damaged personal and business property, and lost income. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and arbitration awards during his years of practice.
Larry also serves as the Vice Chair of Cozen O'Connor’s Northeast Subrogation Region. In that role, he helps manage Cozen O'Connor’s subrogation practice in the Northeastern United States. He also represents contractors, builders, and developers in both plaintiff and defense matters involving allegations of construction defects.
Larry was a trustee of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation for more than 11 years. He also regularly handles pro bono matters including most recently, partnering with the Philadelphia Innocence Project in the representation of Harold Staten. Harold Staten was exonerated on February 5, 2024 after spending nearly 40 years in prison for an arson that was not a crime at all.
Larry received his Bachelor of Science from Penn State University in 1993. Larry received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden while working full-time as a claims handler for a prominent insurer. Larry is a “lifer” having been with the Subrogation & Recovery Department at Cozen O'Connor since becoming an attorney more than 20 years ago.
