James Gale and Jonathan Gale will be presenting at the 6th Annual Cannabis Law, Accounting and Business (CLAB) Conference. Given the nature of the cannabis and CBD industry, the need to protect one’s intellectual property in this industry is heightened, especially as more companies and individuals enter this emerging market. Such protection is not straightforward due to the federal illegality of cannabis and the varying state laws governing cannabis and CBD products and services. This panel discussion will provide an overview of what can and can't be done to protect one’s intellectual property in this industry, particularly for trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and restrictive covenants.
